Data Scientist - Continuous Improvement

General Responsibilities
The Data Scientist will assume roles on Global Continuous Improvement projects and Asset Optimization projects leveraging big data analytics techniques and by partnering with various functions (Revenue management, Fleet, Operations, call center, etc.), develop advanced tools and resources to support and drive diagnostics tools and develop solutions for projects. The Analyst will be working with large sets of structured and unstructured data to perform analysis, develop tools and provide actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities :
+ Develop IT tools that will help and improve operations for any area that projects tasked with
+ Code and automate performance reports and KPIs that are developed
+ Develop tools to support the optimization projects
+ Longer term ? run performance reports on weekly basis
Knowledge:
+ Practical understanding of operations research concepts
+ Demonstrated ability to query and derive meaning from large data sets in relational databases such as SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle or other.
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; particularly advanced Excel functionality including Pivot Tables, Macros, and advanced/logic functions. VBA _a plus._
+ Working experience with programming languages like SAS, SQL, R, Python and advanced visualization platforms such as Tableau.

+ Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Mandatory Requirements
Educational Background:
+ Bachelor Degree required ; preferably in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or other quantitative field. Master?s degree _strongly desired_ .
Professional Experience:
+ 2+ years prior experience in a pricing, yield, and/or quantitative analysis function required ; Master?s degree or above may offset up to 2 years of experience requirements.
+ Prior experience in the Rent-A-Car or travel industry _a plus_ .

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
