General Manager- Ft. Myers, FL

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development / Proposal Management
Participates in district business development activities which include collecting and disseminating intelligence regarding regional opportunities. Works with client service representative in the pursuit and development of regional opportunities.
Coordinates Due Diligence Process
Performs bid review and ensures that all quotations offer the maximum chance for award considering the market and competitive environment for the product, and reflect Veolia ability to deliver quality, on time and in a cost effective, profitable manner.
Completes Proposals On Time and On Budget
Assembles Project Start-up Team and oversees Start-up efforts
Contract Management / Account Management
Oversees the professional management of district contracts and coordinates district resources to ensure that quality and consistent services are provided to the client.
Solicits Customer and Sales input to gain an intimate understanding of customer needs, problems and systems in order to provide a complete solution, to improve levels of satisfaction, to identify need for and implement corrective actions and to evaluate and develop new business opportunities.
Interprets Contract to Define Deliverables
Conducts proposal meetings, assigns tasks, sets deadlines and tracks progress.
Ensures that information is compiled in an efficient and accurate manner to ensure that customer requirements and deadlines are met. Automates processes where possible and ensures that historical data is captured and utilized for future quotes where appropriate.
Fulfills Deliverable Schedule
Technical
Serves as a technical resource in application of technological, operational or
engineering changes that will improve project reliability, regulatory compliance or lower costs.
Works with the LLC Technical Support group to ensures that QA/QC monitoring and record keeping are performed district-wide.
Negotiations / Client Relations
Participates in negotiations of district, multi-site and/or complex agreements.
Manages change variations and negotiates renewals.
Secures Profitable Scope Changes
Secures Favorable Renewal Margins
Provides district representation for company and performs district client relations including presentation of progress and special reports, participating in client meetings and conducting client service audit interviews. Professionally handles and resolves client service problems, contract interpretation, and modification and/or renewal activities.
Procurement
Leverages District Resources to Maximize Purchasing Power
Ensures Compliance with Legal Requirements and Company Policy
Identifies and Justifies Capital Expenditures Using the CAR Process
Financial
Monitors financial performance including compliance to budget, personnel utilization, pricing, customer invoicing and collections.
Monitors and addresses all aged receivables to ensure appropriate collection actions.
Identifies opportunities for improvement and counsels team when corrections or improvements are needed. Prepares reports in a timely manner.
Prepares Annual Budgets
Ensures that Project(s) Meets or Exceeds Plan
Controls and Forecasts Monthly Budget Variances
Labor Relations / Human Resources
Provides a work environment that ensures fair and equal treatment of employees.
Review project performance in accordance with company procedures. Promotes morale, and provides staff with atmosphere of open communication, innovation, and job growth.
Participates in labor relations activities including, labor contract negotiations and ongoing labor issues and grievances as required. Ensures that labor agreements within the district are consistently administered.
Safety & Environmental Compliance
Oversees district safety programs to ensure adherence to company policies and OSHA and state regulations. Actively promotes strong safety programs throughout the district.
Promotes and Models Safety Culture
Ensures Plant Compliance and adherence to OSHA, State and Veolia Safety and Environmental Programs
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES (INTERMITTENT, ON AN OCCASIONAL BASIS, ETC.)
Provides training to project personnel on technical and business related topics to improve project performance. Conducts meetings with client regulatory officials for project stability and compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
At least eight years of progressive supervisory and management experience in a related business or technical field.
Demonstrated leadership ability with an understanding of Human Resources/ Relations principals.
Knowledge of Safety, Environmental and Facilities/ Capital Equipment Management.
Developed strategic and business planning and financial management skills including budget and cost control.
Successful record with contract negotiations, multi-site interfaces, commercial management of contracts and sustained customer and regulatory satisfaction.
Demonstrated skills in problem solving and solutions, team building (motivating all levels of personnel), technical writing and total quality management.
Strong PC skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database software and the ability to optimize the use of technology and systems to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
Understanding of utility customer service functions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
